Try these three face masks that you can find ingredients for in your pantry and refrigerator.

A weekly face mask treatment can clarify and invigorate your skin. Spend less money on store bought masks and opt for an equally beneficial homemade treatment.

Below are three easy-to-make face masks that you can find ingredients for in your pantry and refrigerator.

Honey Face Mask

If you suffer from dry skin or unexplainable breakouts, try this face mask and fight facial bacteria, lighten dark spots, exfoliate your skin, reduce free radical damage, and enjoy the soft after glow.

Ingredients

½ Tbsp. local honey

Juice from ½ lemon

2 drops of tea tree essential oil

Dash of turmeric, ground or freshly grated

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix well.
  2. Apply a thin, even layer onto your face.
  3. Leave for 10-25 minutes.
  4. Rinse well with warm water.
  5. Moisturize your face with your regular face lotion afterwards.

Matcha Green Tea Face Mask

Wake your skin up with this face mask! Matcha green tea quickly soaks into your skin and brightens your face. Add in the cucumber and you will reduce any puffiness around your eyes. This recipe will make two masks, so ask a friend over or store it in the fridge for a second treatment.

Ingredients

1 Inch cucumber, finely grated

1 Tbsp. parsley, minced

½ tsp. matcha powder

1 Tbsp. local honey

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the cucumber, parsley, and matcha powder into a creamy mixture.
  2. Stir in the honey.
  3. Apply a thin, even layer onto your face.
  4. Let sit for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Rinse well with cool water.

Coconut Avocado Face Mask

This face mask will hydrate your face after a long day in the sun or dry winter’s night. Filled with antioxidants, the spirulina helps repair damaged skin. The other ingredients step in and work towards shrinking your pores and softening your skin.

Ingredients

¼ avocado

1 tsp. cacao powder

½ tsp. apple cider vinegar

¼ tsp. spirulina

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients together. Use a fork to better whip everything into a consistent paste.
  2. Apply a thin, even layer to your face.
  3. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Rinse well with warm water.
